Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, and Tel Aviv, the country’s business hub, are two of the most important cities that tourists обязательно visit. Therefore, travelers often ask: “How do I get there?”
You can take a taxi, but there are also more budget-friendly options using public transportation.
Intercity transportation between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv is operated by the Egged bus company via two main routes: No. 405 and No. 480.
Buses run approximately every 15 minutes.
In Jerusalem, both routes depart from the Central Bus Station (“Tahana Merkazit” in Hebrew), located at 228 Jaffa Street. To board the bus, passengers need to go up to the third floor of the station.

In Jerusalem, trains arrive at the central railway station named after Yitzhak Navon. The city’s main bus station is located nearby, making transfers between train and bus convenient.
Shared taxis (sherut) run between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, connecting the Tel Aviv Central Bus Station with the center of Jerusalem.
These minibuses usually seat about 10 passengers, are air-conditioned, and quite comfortable. They do not follow a fixed schedule and depart once they are full.
In Tel Aviv, the sherut terminal is located on Tsemach David Street, directly opposite the Central Bus Station. If you approach the entrance at the intersection of Levinsky Street and Tsemach David Street, the sherut stop will be on your left.
