Авторский групповой тур в Иорданию из Израиля – гид Игорь Трибельский
Journey through the ancient lands of Jordan on an unforgettable four-day adventure combining biblical history, Crusader heritage, desert landscapes, and the wonders of the ancient world.
This signature tour takes you across some of the most remarkable historical and archaeological sites of Jordan — from the legendary Roman cities of the Decapolis to the breathtaking deserts of Wadi Rum, from mighty Crusader castles to the sacred biblical mountains and valleys connected with prophets and kings.
You will explore the spectacular rose-red city of Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, spend a night beneath the stars in the magical desert of Wadi Rum, discover the grandeur of ancient Jerash, and walk through the legendary fortresses of Kerak Castle and Shobak Castle.
The route also follows important biblical traditions connected with Moses, John the Baptist, and Jesus Christ. Travelers will visit Mount Nebo, where Moses saw the Promised Land, the fortress of Machaerus, associated with the imprisonment and execution of John the Baptist, and many other sacred and historic places.
This tour is perfect for travelers passionate about archaeology, biblical history, Crusader history, dramatic landscapes, and authentic Middle Eastern culture.
Changes to the excursion schedule and itineraries may occur during national holidays, Jewish and Christian religious holidays, as well as due to circumstances beyond the company’s control, including weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances.
08:00 — Border crossing via the Sheikh Hussein Border Crossing near Beit She'an.
Our first stop is Pella, one of the ancient cities of the Decapolis, named after the birthplace of Alexander the Great. According to Christian tradition, this was the place where the Christian community of Jerusalem fled during the Roman siege of the city in 70 CE.
Continuation to Umm Qais — ancient Gadara, one of the greatest cities of the Decapolis. The site is closely connected with the Gospel story of Jesus casting demons out of a possessed man.
We then visit Jerash (ancient Gerasa), the best-preserved city of the Decapolis and one of the finest surviving examples of Greco-Roman urban civilization.
After the экскурсия, transfer to Wadi Rum.
Traditional Bedouin dinner and overnight stay in desert tents at a camp in Wadi Rum.
Sunrise in Wadi Rum — one of the most breathtaking and otherworldly landscapes on Earth.
Jeep excursion through Wadi Rum, famous for its spectacular desert scenery and dramatic “Martian” landscapes, which have served as the backdrop for numerous legendary films.
Continuation to Petra for lunch.
Petra — the ancient capital and necropolis of the Nabataean Kingdom — is considered one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. So legendary and extraordinary is this rose-red city that it hardly requires any introduction. For many travelers, Petra alone is reason enough to visit Jordan.
Dinner and overnight in Petra.
Today we explore some of the most remarkable medieval and biblical strongholds of Jordan.
Our first stop is Shobak Castle (Crac de Montréal) — the first Crusader fortress built east of the Jordan River and once famous for the production of crystalline sugar.
We then continue to the mighty Kerak Castle (Crac de Moab), the capital of the Crusader Lordship of Oultrejordain. This seemingly impregnable fortress became notorious as the stronghold of the infamous knight and warlord Raynald of Châtillon, one of the most controversial figures of the Kingdom of Jerusalem.
Next, we visit Umm ar-Rasas (ancient Kastron Mefaa), an important Byzantine pilgrimage center famous for its early Christian churches and stylite traditions.
Continuation to Machaerus — the fortress of the Hasmoneans and Herod the Great, often called the “sister fortress” of Masada.
According to biblical tradition, this was the site of the imprisonment and execution of John the Baptist and later became one of the final strongholds during the Great Jewish Revolt against Rome.
Dinner and overnight in Amman.
Today begins with a panoramic tour of Amman, including the famous archaeological complex of the Amman Citadel.
We then visit Iraq al-Amir, the site of the remarkable Hellenistic-era palace traditionally associated with Hyrcanus ben Joseph of the Tobiad family. This unique 2nd-century BCE monument is described in detail in the writings of Josephus.
Continuation to Madaba, one of the main Christian centers of Jordan, famous for its extraordinary 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land preserved in the Saint George Church.
We then ascend Mount Nebo, the sacred mountain from which Moses saw the Promised Land before the end of his earthly journey.
Drive through the scenic Jordan Valley with a stop at Deir Alla, identified with the biblical site of Mahanaim.
Return to Israel via the Sheikh Hussein Border Crossing near Beit She'an.
