Sightseeing tour of Jerusalem: ancient Jerusalem, the quarters of the Old City, the sacred sites of the world’s three major religions, historical landmarks, and museums.
Comfortable clothing suitable for the weather is recommended. Comfortable walking shoes are especially important.
We invite you to discover the timeless beauty of Jerusalem, beginning with the Old City, surrounded by its magnificent 16th-century walls. Guests may even walk along the ancient ramparts and admire panoramic views of all four quarters of the Old City — the Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and Armenian quarters.
The sacred Western Wall is the holiest site in Judaism and the only remaining section of the retaining wall of the Temple Mount.
In the Jewish Quarter, we may stroll along the ancient Roman street known as the Cardo, visit the historic Hurva Synagogue, the Rambam Synagogue, and the synagogue of Rabbi Yohanan Ben Zakkai. A truly unforgettable experience awaits those who choose to explore the famous Western Wall Tunnels (Hasmonean Tunnels).
The Christian holy sites are concentrated within the Christian Quarter. Entering through the Lion's Gate, we follow the sacred Via Dolorosa — the final path of Jesus carrying the Cross to Golgotha. The fourteen Stations of the Cross lead us to the magnificent Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which contains Golgotha, the site of the Crucifixion, as well as the places traditionally associated with the burial and Resurrection of Christ.
Beyond the walls of the Old City lies Mount Zion, home to the impressive Catholic Dormition Abbey, built on the traditional site of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary in the house of Saint John, the beloved disciple of Jesus.
Nearby is the Tomb of David, and on the upper floor of the same building is the traditional site of the Last Supper.
We also visit the sacred Garden of Gethsemane, traditionally associated with the arrest of Jesus, as well as two remarkable churches built there: the Catholic Church of All Nations and the Orthodox Church of Mary Magdalene.
One of the most breathtaking panoramic views of Jerusalem can be enjoyed from the observation point on the Mount of Olives.
Since this is a private tour, any of the suggested sites may be replaced or additional locations added to the itinerary, including:
— Yad Vashem — the memorial complex dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust during World War II.
— Ein Karem — a picturesque suburb of Jerusalem traditionally regarded as the birthplace of John the Baptist. Here we may visit Mary’s Spring, the famous Russian Orthodox Gornensky Convent, the Catholic Church of Saint John in the Mountains, and the Church of the Visitation commemorating the visit of the Virgin Mary.
— Israel Museum — the country’s largest and most prestigious museum, featuring rich archaeological collections, Judaica, and masterpieces of classical and modern art. The museum complex also includes the famous Shrine of the Book, home to the Dead Sea Scrolls, whose striking white dome has become one of Jerusalem’s iconic symbols.
Families traveling with children may also enjoy the museum’s interactive youth wing, where history, nature, and culture are presented through engaging educational experiences.
